(lead vocals, keys & acoustic guitar) is more than an amazing singer &  entertainer, he’s also a talented songwriter, born & raised in Plant City, FL where he discovered his love for music at a young age at piano lessons. His teacher quickly learned that he was not only gifted at playing the piano from what he heard but that he was also gifted with his vocals, leading him to studying both! It wasn’t until 2002-03, when a singing competition led to a talent scout taking him to Nashville where he had the opportunity to showcase in front of multiple labels & was overwhelmed with their response! The next year he spent back & forth in Nashville writing & recording on Music Row learning that songwriting was also something inherently in him, finishing 4 radio ready songs that year, label structure changes & life events calling him home led to its demise. In 2010-2013 Darrell Sikes & the Southern Sons was started, in the short time they were already opening acts & making an appearance on the local news station’s “Positively Tampa Bay” & Darrell was offered a full-time singing position in Branson, MO from Tony Orlando!  While he has not actively pursued his music career throughout his entire life, Darrell has never left the stage, singing at countless weddings, events, churches and guest appearances with various bands, making music always seems to find him. After the opportunity to open for the Bellamy Brothers at the Hardee County Watermelon Festival in 2023 & finding himself an empty nester, he has returned full time and is beyond grateful to finally be where doing what he loves is an everyday reality!
